Firestorms and Evacuations

Monday morning early Tina was getting ready for school and heard the "pop pop" of an exploding transformer. She later looked out her sliding glass window to see a wall of flames behind her house. She called her principal and asked if she could bring her dog (Sheba) to school ... proceeded to pack the bird, Sheba and her photos in her car and went to school just to be evacuated down to our house. It was hot here (and we had no power yet) so Tina and I went shopping for the summer sales and she bought a new summer wardrobe and other essentials. But then, Tina HATES to shop ; )
Meanwhile, Maggie was gathering together essentials for evacuation, and Ryan tried to get home to help, but no one was being allowed up the mountain. When he arrived here he began pacing because he was so worried about his pregnant honey. All arrived safely to our darkened house and we spent that evening recreating Saturday Night Live sketches and just having fun. So ... as of today, Friday, we still have five dogs, 1 bird and 5 people in the Thomas evacuation center. Maggie and Ryan will going home tomorrow and Tina... who knows! (and who cares)
The first picture was taken in total darkness (which with how bright the flash is, explains the not so happy expressions.)
